The Sweetest Circle: A Round Table Kind of Tradition

The Story of the Round Table at Arrowhead Pass

At the heart of Arrowhead Pass stands the Round Table — a piece of Douglas Fir craftsmanship that had to be built right where it sits. Too wide to ever pass through the lodge doors, it’s become a permanent part of the home — sturdy, timeless, and surrounded by years of family laughter.

A Family Tradition That Keeps Spinning

Every holiday brings a new excuse to gather around it — from Christmas tree and snowflake-shaped cookies to Valentine hearts and “Be Mine” creations. Frosting, candies, and creativity spill across the table as everyone decorates their own batch of cookies, each more colorful (and chaotic) than the last. The Round Table’s center holds a black granite lazy susan where all the decorating supplies are placed.

When the decorating’s done, the family cookie auction begins. Everyone eyes the variety of cookies as it spins around the table. Bids fly across the table — some serious, some just for laughs — as everyone tries to “win” their favorite creation. No one ever really loses, though. Everyone walks away with a cookie (or three), a full heart, and another memory added to the circle.

Built to last, the Round Table has seen it all — generations of shared stories and sweet traditions that just keep turning. Come gather around the table yourself — plan your stay at Arrowhead Pass.
